As the home of Winter Swimming since 1929, Bondi Beach Iceberg is an international landmark. Their famous pool is open to the public for the whole year. Above the pool, there is a clubhouse with a full license. It is also open to members and visitors.

According to the regulations in Australia for any licensed Club, all the people who live within a five-kilometer radius will be required to join as a member of the Club. Or, at least, signed in by one. They will have some additional advantages as well.

Bondi Beach Iceberg

Since 1929, this famous pool has had a long history. Even since then the Bondi Beach Iceberg Club already has a reputation as one of the most famous Winter Swimming Clubs in Australia. This Club was formed by a group of Life Savers way back then.

When you visit this place, you will see some photos of a few members of that Swim Club. This famous Bondi Baths has a large lap pool and another smaller pool for children. Complete with some qualified lifeguards.

As featured in the “Swim the World,” Bondi Beach Iceberg is said as the most photographed swimming pool in the world. Its location is really on the shore, where people can swim both in the pool and in the ocean under and surrounding the pool.

You may ask why this place is called the Bondi Iceberg. The name came from the Iceberg Swimming Club, established by local lifeguards in Sydney. In 2002, the Club moved the pool to its current spot and called it Bondi Beach Iceberg pool.

The unique thing about the pool is that it is filled with seawater. Sometimes, the waves even hit you while you were swimming. This pool is 50 meters long and deeper near the seaside, but quite shallow on the beachside. The kids’ pool is only 25 meters long and much shallower, although adults can swim here, too.

It is open to the public, but the Club gives additional benefits to members. Such as discounts for food and beverages. The best thing about this Club is the unbeatable view of the ocean and overlooking the blue waters of the pool.
