The trip from Toya Pakeh Harbor to Diamond Beach will take around one hour. You can rent a scooter for easy access around the island. But do be careful since the road is narrow and some cars like to drive fast.

The rental fee for a scooter is between 80,000 to 100,000 IDR for one day. You can rent them from your hotel or guest house. Then, you can go exploring the island at your leisure.

From above the cliff, you will see the limestone staircase as access to the beach. It was carved into the side of the cliff. From these stairs, sometimes you can see manta rays cruising by. It is a beautiful thing to see.

The first part of the staircase is an easy descent. But the last part is quite scary for some people. Due to its steepness to the beach below. You also need to navigate your way to pass some bushes, a stony hill, and some rocks in the sea.

That is why it is best to visit Diamond Beach Nusa Penida during low tide. The sea on this side of the island can be rough. You can reach the beach by a walk around and over some of those rocks.

As mentioned earlier, the trip from Toya Pakeh to Diamond Beach Nusa Penida will take around one hour. From Buyuk or Sampalan will take almost one hour.

4. To Get Around Nusa Penida

There are two main options for transportation in Nusa Penida. One is scooter rental, or renting a private car with a driver.

The rental price for a scooter is around 80,000 – 100,000 IDR for one day. But please be careful because the road is narrow and a lot of cars are fast cruising around you.

To be safer, you can rent a car with an English-speaking driver. Those drivers are pros who know how to maneuver the narrow road. The rental price is around $43 for 6 hours. And around $60 for 10 hours of rent.
